Sentebale's 2007 / 2008 Accounts and Annual Review

We have published our accounts for the financial year 2007/2008, as well as our first annual review. The accounts show that total expenditure for the year was £791,000; £707,000 of which was spent on charitable activities.

Sentebale's office in Lesotho opened in April 2007. It has since built up a network of 16 partners and initiatives.

Now that operations on the ground have been firmly established, Sentebale plans to expand its work and expect to be working with 28 partners by the end of the year.

Kedge Martin, Sentebale CEO said:

“Sentebale has already transformed the lives of hundreds of Lesotho's orphans and vulnerable children in the short time it has been working in Lesotho. This is a very exciting time for the charity, now that our operations are up and running on the ground, we are going to re-double our efforts both in Lesotho as we expand our projects, and in the UK as we increase our fundraising efforts to deliver the support that Lesotho's children so badly need.

While Lesotho's problems are daunting and challenging, we remain confident that through continued sustainable and effective work with grass roots organisations, we can develop and expand our work, reaching out to even more of Lesotho's estimated 400,000 vulnerable children.”
