Sentebale are delighted to have been selected as the charitable beneficiary of the 2009 Veuve Clicquot Manhattan Polo Classic. Both of Sentebale's Patrons, Prince Harry and Prince Seeiso will attend the event.

Prince Harry will play on the Sentebale polo team in the second annual Veuve Clicquot Manhattan Polo Classic, taking place on Saturday, May 30th. Prince Seeiso will be a guest at the event.

Event proceeds will benefit American Friends of Sentebale, a U.S.-based charity that supports our work helping Lesotho's orphans and vulnerable children.

The Veuve Clicquot Manhattan Polo Classic will coincide with the 400th anniversary of New York and opening day of the Governors Island season. The event will feature areas that are both open to the public at no charge as well as those that will require tickets.

“Veuve Clicquot is honored to support Prince Harry and Prince Seeiso and their inspirational charity, American Friends of Sentebale,” stated Aisha Thompson, Veuve Clicquot Senior Brand Manager.

Kedge Martin, Sentebale's Chief Executive said:
“Sentebale is delighted to have been selected as beneficiary of the 2009 Veuve Clicquot Manhattan Polo Classic. We are incredibly grateful for the support that this event will provide for our work on the ground in Lesotho helping the country's most vulnerable and neglected children. Sentebale is the only charity in Lesotho working across the spectrum of orphans and vulnerable children with local community partners at a grass roots level. It aims to ensure long term sustainability and development in Lesotho.”

This event will support our work in Lesotho, as we expand our operations, to meet the ever increasing need of the estimated 400,000 orphans and vulnerable children.
