Sentebale was founded by Prince Seeiso from the Lesotho Royal family and Prince Harry from the British Royal family in response to the plight of the neediest of Lesotho's people - its orphans and vulnerable children. The Princes have a continuing role as active patrons but Sentebale's main operations are now based in Lesotho headed by a Country Director.
More about Who We Are
Our mission is to transform the lives of Lesotho's orphans and vulnerable children - the forgotten victims of poverty and of the HIV/Aids epidemic ravaging their country. Sentebale targets particular support to the most vulnerable of vulnerable children - the abused, disabled, ill, abandoned and neglected.
Sentebale's name - "forget me not" - is also our call to action.
More about What We Do
Sentebale is a new charity with a new approach. We aim to combine thoughtful aid giving with effective businesslike methods. In March 2007 we moved our main operating base to Lesotho where we are committed to the long term funding of small but dynamic community organisations as well as backing new initiatives by those dedicated to solving their community's problems.
